Interesting, this doesn’t even begin to take into consideration that these new Rogue DNS servers can do some real nasty things. Imagine a ring of highly sophisticated rogue DNS servers that act as the real deal and send you to phishing sites. “Oh, I see you’re looking for BankofAmerica.com. Let me send you to this rogue BOA-phishing site, let you fill out your username, password, and any other credentials, w/e. Then I’ll save it on my server, give you an error message, than forward you to the actual site. Nice! You didn’t even know it but I just stole your identity!” SOPA is a National Security problem, too!

Well even better, users will be able to get to use the parser themselves as this code will eventually be incorporated into parts of the UI. You’re right that this blog needs a few more videos though..

I think you might have a better time and computationally less expensive looking at probabilistic approaches

Correct, it can parse a single ingredient and usage at a time – for example “3 cups of flour” or “a dozen eggs”. Luckily, there’s hRecipe (which is supported by pretty much all of the major recipe sites) to help parse out the individual ingredients.

Does your parser take the whole block of text (i.e. ingredients + instructions) and separate it? From what I understand, it takes ingredient inputs line by line, not the recipe as a whole.
